Placements into specific events will be posted as events are confirmed, as early as next week. Pandemic-related venue booking delays also limit our ability to assign groups to specific events.
In the event that a last minute cancellation does occur or we are unable to secure a venue, an event could transition to a virtual round. Please bear with us as we work to finalize dates. As a result, you will notice that many regions don’t yet have dates listed as we continue to work with limited venue staff and garnering university approvals as an outside organization coming onto campus. Lastly, with the COVID-19 pandemic and extended application deadline, we have been doing our best navigating the varying policies and restrictions from venues across the country. Tickets for most quarterfinal and semifinal rounds go on sale on December 1. Details will be sent throughout the season by your regional producer.Įvents will begin in mid-January and continue through late March. This currently applies to the Northeast, South, Southwest & United Kingdom regions only. The top two groups from this round will be entered into our regular virtual tournament-wide wildcard round that takes place between semifinals and finals.Īdditionally, in any region with fewer than five quarterfinals (resulting in fewer than our maximum 10 groups at semifinals), there will also be a virtual quarterfinal wildcard round, allowing for up to two additional groups to advance to the semifinal. In order to be accessible and equitable given our transition back to live events this season, we will also have one virtual round for groups who can only participate this way.
All regions will have our traditional Quarterfinal/Semifinal structure. Nine in-person regions will comprise this year’s ICCA tournament: Central, Great Lakes, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, South, Southwest, West and United Kingdom. We are thrilled to see talent returning to ICCA in such great numbers, and we are humbled to provide this experience for so many once again.
Our LIVE, IN-PERSON 26th ICCA season is finally here, and we can’t wait to see what our competitors will bring to the stage! This year, there are more than 6,000 performers in nearly 400 groups from universities across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom competing in our tournament.
